ABOUT THE MOVIE

Seen through the eyes of Black youth in early 1980s inner-city Chicago, 'Ride the Rhythm' chronicles a movement that turned the dance floor into a sanctuary.  This film examines how a marginalized community built a defiant, transformative culture, using the hypnotic pulse of House music to transcend their struggles and spark a global revolution.
